Michelle Capobianco is a legal and media professional determined to bring value, success and equitable representation to her clients. She is licensed to practice law in New York State and is based in the New York metro area.
She currently serves as Counsel, Legal & Business Affairs at Global Citizen, where she leads on legal and contracting matters for large live and broadcast events, including production and vendor contracts, trademark registration and maintenance, brand management, talent appearance agreements, visual clearances, media distribution licensing, corporate sponsorships, and insurance coverages.

She previously served as Associate General Counsel and Manager of Business Affairs at RWS Entertainment Group, where she drafted and negotiated contracts for over 1250 technicians, musicians, performance artists, and theatre professionals (directors, choreographers, etc.) in the live entertainment/tourism industry. She also served as lead legal representative for the legendary Binder Casting agency. Michelle has successfully executed over 20 casting services agreements from proposal to completion for productions like The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, national tours, regional theatre productions, AEA tiered workshops, and pre-Broadway out-of-town engagements (to date).
Michelle has significant legal experience in employment and labor relations, from private employment discrimination cases, to collective bargaining agreements for entertainment guilds. She also is well-versed talent representation matters - including SAG-AFTRA agreements and brand partnership materials. Her niche lies in production counsel for commercial theatre ventures, and is frequently collaborating on new and developing theatre ventures in and around New York City.
Michelle launched her own media services company, Michelle Cap Media, in 2023. Michelle Cap Media provides copywriting and professional drafting services as well as social and digital media consulting for small businesses, with a focus on brand recognition, audience targeting, and digital marketing strategy. Most notably, her promotional copy has been used in production fundraising materials for multiple commercial theatrical productions on and off Broadway. She also provides business and legal production consulting to developing commercial theatre productions in and around New York City.
Michelle is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association's Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section and a notary public.
She is a graduate of Muhlenberg College, where she worked in various administrative and general management roles at the Department of Theatre and Dance, and earned her law degree at St. John's University School of Law.
